James and his wife Linda have invested the majority of their lives in ministry. James has held workshops pertaining to church growth in twenty-seven countries. While serving as a pastor in California, Texas, Hawaii and Canada, he planted ten congregations and re-established several others. He has served his denomination, Church of God, Cleveland, Tennessee as a member of the International Executive Council, World Missions Board and International Board of Education. He currently serves on the Advisory Board of Youth With A Mission. James holds a Master of Arts, Biblical Studies from Louisiana Baptist University and is a member in good standing with the National Association of Marriage and Family Counselors.
