II Corinthians 11:28 (KJV)

According to scriptures there is a great similarity between a shepherd and a pastor. Both have a caring heart! Often, especially within ministry, caring for one’s self gets misplaced, opening the door for burn out, fatigue, and even depression.

It is during these moments Shepherd’s Heart Ministry will be available to offer assistance. We have created well-structured workshops that address each of these issues. Then when necessary, we are available to interact on a one on one basis. We are here for your journey. There is no charge for the services Shepherd’s Heart Ministry offers; however, should you need to be referred to additional professional services there could be a fee through their office.

“The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the broken hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound” Isaiah 61:1

Caring, without compassion, seldom offers lasting results. Shepherd’s Heart Ministry understands that everyone is susceptible to burn out and failure. This often leads to a feeling of insignificance and low self-esteem. If intervention through compassion and forgiveness is not extended, the Minister often leaves his calling, never to return. Using the Bible as our guide, we know we have the resolve for full restoration.

Special classes structured within a non-critical environment have been arranged for almost every situation a Minister or family member may encounter.

Because of the quality and experience of our leadership, Shepherd’s Heart Ministry understands what it takes for a Minister to stay the course. The significance of great leadership is always the hallmark of any Ministry’s success. Seasoned pastors such as Dr. Ron Wells and Dr. Tim Watson are invaluable in helping pastors rise to their full potential in Jesus Christ.

“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil to give you a future and a hope.“ Jeremiah 29:11 (NKJV)

I am firmly convinced that God has placed into all our lives a divine calling, and should we move away from it, life itself begins to grow vague and dim.

I never dreamed that I would leave California, the state where I was basically raised and served in ministry; however, after many positive indicators began to appear, I decided to uproot my family in August of 1976 and accept a church about which I knew very little, over 1,500 miles away in East Texas. God blessed our simple act of obedience and twenty-six wonderful years later this small congregation, which had originally consisted of about 75 people, had grown into one of the strongest churches within our denomination.

I am thoroughly convinced that any city can be won to Christ when we discover the piece of the puzzle that is missing. The foundation of my program has remained the same; however, the way in which each church has been structured has varied according to the personality and spiritual climate of the community. The silver lining that you will see consistently throughout my ministry has been the simple act of finding a need within a community and then finding a way to fill it.
