Linda and I want to thank you for standing alongside of Shepherd’s Heart Ministry during our initial year of service. We could not have succeeded if it were not for you and others as yourself.
We would like to take this opportunity to update you on several things that will be occurring within the ministry during 2012. I had the privilege of meeting with Mr. Dave Tillery, General Manager of Region 56 and Fox 51. He is very favorable towards the ministry and will be meeting with myself and Dr. Tim Watson, LeTourneau University to discuss ways we may partner together. This past year we began streaming our program on a limited basis (a lot of mistakes, a lot of trials and errors); however, we now feel that we can effectively bring this into focus for 2012.
Dr. Ron Wells, Centrepoint Ministry, is graciously working alongside us to help find the most qualified instructors for the classes we will be offering next year. I believe that you will be pleased regarding those teaching the workshops.
Stewart’s Family Funeral Home has graciously provided the finances for a 26 page informational booklet that will be sent to all the ministers in our area. The booklet will share in detail the opportunities that Shepherd’s Heart Ministry will be offering. IN Magazine contacted us today and they will be doing an article soon regarding the ministry.
The following businesses have graciously agreed to offer a variety of gifts at each workshop throughout 2012: Burger King Restaurants, Chez Bazan French Bakery and Café, Gilbert’s El Charro Mexican Restaurant, Great American Classics, LaWaffeletta French Restaurant, .Potpourri House Restaurant, Shogun Japanese Restaurant, The Men’s Wearhouse and Dub’s Texas BBQ.
Martha Hook, Cindy Dykes, Linda and myself met to discuss the possibility of a Ladies Night Out for pastor’s wives and women in ministry. This is in the planning stage and several other women will be invited to offer their input as well.
